A Vision Rooted in Resilience
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful mission: to restore the vital wetlands of Mexico while creating sustainable opportunities for local communities. In the Yucatec Maya language BlueMX is known as “U’ Balam’Moo A’Kalche” : “The Jaguar of the Wetlands,” BlueMX symbolizes strength, conservation, and hope. Over 100,000 hectares of mangroves have already been conserved, with communities and ecosystems thriving together.

The 2023-2024 BlueMX Impact Report highlights our achievements in conserving mangrove ecosystems, empowering local communities, and fostering biodiversity and resilience. Together, we’re proving that conservation and sustainable development go hand in hand.
